Benefits of the Five-Minute Daily Energy Routine
Some people may find yet another task to add to their already chaotic day to be daunting, but hear me out on this, okay?!
Just take in the following words on the benefits of doing the 5-Minute Daily Energy Routine (DER), a procedure created by Donna Eden, and determine for yourself if you think it’s a 5 minute task worthwhile!
I thought this post to be fitting since my videos on the actual routine itself are complete and setup for your viewing here. You will find that the entire routine is super easy and can be done in no time at all!
First, a list of what exercises make-up the routine.
- the Three Thumps
- the Cross Crawl
- the Wayne Cook Posture
- the Crown Pull
- the Lymphatic Massage
- the Zip-up
- the Hook-up
You can find the benefits of each of the individual exercises by clicking here. Just scroll down the page to get a viewing of each exercises’ rewards; they’re listed after each video that demonstrates the exercise itself.
I say that because in this post, we’re sticking purely to the benefits of doing the routine as a whole.
Ok, so let’s get to it!
After years of working with over 10,000 clients, Donna Eden was able to pull together a list of simple, yet powerful techniques or exercises that gave people the most bang for their buck when trying to get their energies running in a positive habit again.
In case you didn’t already know, our current ways of living are so harsh on our bodies that our innate healing ways cannot keep up.
I think we can all agree that the amount of stress we have in our lives compared to our ancestors of long ago is off the charts. Yeah, they may have had to work harder for shelter and food, but they weren’t dealing with our polluted air, chemical-ridden food supply, drug happy healthcare system, nature-alien lifestyles, crazy road traffic, sedentary days, long hours in front of a myriad of electronics, and the list goes on!
So, with all of our modern day stressors, our energies start to shift toward negative patterns in order to try to compensate for what we put our bodies through; your energy systems truly do want to run in specific patterns (positive ones!).
Since most of us don’t let up on ourselves, these negative patterns become habits within our energy body. These negative habits then lead to discomforts like physical ailments, mental or emotional disturbances, and spiritual disconnect.
Donna was able to determine which exercises will bring into balance all of our body’s energy systems and at the same time have the greatest impact on just about everyone. Luckily, the exercises she came up with, when compiled together, only take a very short amount of time to perform. Five minutes to be exact!
The 5 Minute Daily Energy Routine can help you:
- lead a healthier, more vibrant life until the end of time
- become more resilient to illness and stress
- restore your body’s natural energy flows
- build positive habits in your energy field
- prepare your energy body for further fine-tuning
When considering this daily routine, know that you are working with your body’s fundamental energies, and by focusing on these energies, you are helping to bring the foundation of your energy body into alignment.
This is important because without a solid foundation, it will be more difficult to reap the benefits of other energy medicine techniques utilized down the road for more specific concerns (i.e. infertility, high blood pressure, diabetes, etc.).
Don’t get me wrong, I too choose to live a certain way in our technologically progressed world. In fact, at this moment I have my cell phone close by, I’m typing on my computer, and I have a tablet within arm’s reach, but I know that I must counteract this “pollution” in some way or another to live an optimal, joyful life!
Part of my way is to make energy medicine a daily practice of mine. I consistently do the DER with extra optional energy medicine exercises added on. I hardly miss a day now; yes, I actually do miss a day or so per month! Also, I didn’t start out being consistent, so no worries if you’re spotty with the routine at first.
Don’t beat yourself down! Just know that you’re doing yourself a huge favor by doing the simple exercises within the DER and figure out where it best fits into your day so that you can become consistent with it too.
The techniques of the DER may be simple, but they are cumulative, so the more consistent you become with the routine, the more potent the techniques become!
